Helnan Palestine Hotel was built to accommodate the Arab Kings and Heads of States participating in the Second Arab Summit Alexandria, Egypt in September 5th, 1964 . The summit formally approved the establishment of the Palestine Liberation Organization. Naturally, nothing was spared to provide maximum luxury, beauty and comfort. The hotel's location was carefully chosen in February 1964 by the late President" Gamal Abd El Nasser "amongst all Hotels in Egypt, where it was built in 6 months on a historical ground at the unique location of Montaza's fine beaches with its crystal blue water and surrounded by the vast magnificent gifts of nature, 350 acres of gardens of Montaza Royal Palace, which was once the site of the late King Farouk's summer palace. Helnan International Management Company took over the management of Palestine Hotel in 1987, and since then the hotel witnessed two renovations ending with a third complete renovation and refurbishment in 2002 to be the chosen place for hosting Kings, Queens and Presidents came from every place of the world to witness the Historical inauguration for Alexandria Bibliotheca.
